Introducing…Grand Hotel Walking Tours with John Atkin
Two hours well spent with local historian and author John Atkin! From humble structures hugging the shoreline on the edge of a forest, to the grandeur and elegance of the iconic railroad hotel along with today’s luxury offerings, this tour takes a look at the fascinating history of spending the night in Vancouver. Tours will depart the Hornby Street entrance to the Vancouver Art Gallery most Sunday mornings at 10:30 am, May through August 2013.
Tickets can be purchased half an hour before the tour at the Gallery’s admission desk in the main lobby. Private tours for families or groups can also be arranged. $35 includes walking tour & express entry ticket to the exhibition. |
Private Guided Exhibition Tours
Visitors can enjoy the exclusive and intimate experience of a private guided tour for the current exhibitions at the Vancouver Art Gallery. Led by experienced art professionals and educators, the tours provide an excellent introduction for the first-time visitors as well as food for thought for returning visitors. Our educators sketch an overview of the exhibition, outline historical contexts, as well as highlight specific works for a closer look.

Before Hours Exhibition Tours
Take your Gallery experience to the next level! Make the exhibition & Gallery truly your own with this exclusive private VIP access tour. Lead by one of our friendly and professional guides, all tours include an introduction to the Gallery’s turn-of-the-century heritage building and your choice of a private tour of one of the featured exhibitions.
